Brimmed Hat - free crochet pattern

This is a brimmed child hat I made from a pattern found on Ravlery - currently my favorite web site. The pattern is Big Girl Bonnet by Kay Rae. I made some slight changes in coloring and made a bow instead of the flower just to freshen things up a little but the pattern remains the same.
I'm posting the pattern here just in case you don't have a Ravelry account, but I sincerely recommend you create one and go crazy with their patterns :-)

    1. Sorry for the late answer! This one is for babies 3-6 months. If you do it with a larger hook you can make a bigger one.

    1. Make a chain of however wide you want the bow to be, and then rows of dc's until you get the length you want and fasten off. I fold it in half then and wrap some thread a few times around the middle. Hope that helps!

  5. Thanks for sharing this pattern :) I also like the fact that you include the number of stitches at the end of the row! Its helpful to seasoned hookers and newbies too:) Have a great day!

  6. Is there a version of this for adults? One that measures around 20 to 23 inches/

    1. No, I didn't write one for adults. But I did make several, so I found the key to a larger hat is to keep doing dc's with increases (2 dc in same stitch) as from the beginning at equal intervals until you reach approx. 8 dc + 2 dc increase, and then just do the shells until it fits.
      Hope you'll find this helpful.

  7. I figured that's how I'd do it, I'm just always weary of taking off with a pattern and going away from its original because some of the yarn I work with gets weaker once it's been worked and then undone.

Thank you for the quick response! I really appreciate it!
